Detailed itinerary
Day 1 : Hanoi Arrival
You are welcomed by our transport at Noi Bai airport and then be transferred to your hotel in the center of Hanoi city. Vietnam’s capital is stylish and stately. Experience its thousand-year-old history, tree-lined boulevards and faded colonial architecture during our transfer to Hotel.
Overnight at Hanoi.
Day 2 : Hanoi city tour (B/L) (Private tour)
08.00 We depart for the mausoleum of the historic figure and father of modern Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh (viewed from outside; closed Mon and Fri and from Oct-Nov). Then it’s on to a wooden ethnic minority style house which was his temporary residence from 1954 – 1969. In the same complex you will see the One Pillar Pagoda, founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049. This structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi.
Your next stop will be the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university. Constructed in 1070, the gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past.
Continue to West Lake and one of the oldest Buddhist pagodas in Hanoi, Tran Quoc which dates from the Ly Dynasty.
Have lunch in one of the cities finest restaurants.In the afternoon, we take a drive to Museum of History – a big cultural and scientific center of the country. After that,we take a tour by cyclo, a chauffeur-pedalled tricycle, through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, also known as the ’36 streets’. This bustling area of narrow streets and alleys is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. It’s a great place to explore, especially by cyclo, with plenty of photo opportunities all around you. We enjoy Water Puppet show. This is a uniquely northern Vietnamese art form depicting scenes from rural life and episodes of national history.
Tonight is free for you to enjoy Hanoi and explore on your own. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3 : Hanoi – Aphrodite Cruise (L,D)
7.45 to 8.15 : You will be picked up at your hotel and have 4 hours drive through. Enjoy the peaceful scenery as we travel through the countryside, farmlands and Red River delta. On the way, you will have a short break about 25 minutes to relax and unwind
12.15 : Upon arrival, you will be welcome by our crew member and prepare for check-in. You will be transferred to Aphrodite Cruise by a tender. You will get welcome cocktail on board. Our guide will tell you about life on board.
13.00 : We will enjoy Asian Fusion Lunch Buffet while passing the Cap Ga (Fighting cocks) islet which is well known as a symbol of Halong Bay and the Dai Thanh (Cattle) islet.
15.00 : We arrive at Cua Van floating fishing village and capture the simple and peaceful daily life of the local fisherman. You may take part in some interesting activities as kayaking, swimming and snorkeling
16.00 : We get back to Aphrodite Cruiser and keep cruising through the Bay. More over we will have a chance to take park in cooking demonstration and discover the secrets of popular Vietnamese cuisine through cooking class.
17.00 : We take a tender to Titov island where you are able to enjoy swimming, relaxing on the beach as well as climbing up over 400 steps to top of the island and take spectacular view of Halong bay, you may feel lost in a mysterious land and don’t forget to take as many photos as possible. Otherwise, you may enjoy open air cocktail bar located on the Sun deck.
19.00 : We will enjoy a delicious five course Set Dinner
21.00 : We are free at leisure to join following activities : karaoke singing, games playing, board games are available and massage and spa services are available. You might also try your luck at squid fishing from the boat.
Day 4 : Aphrodite Cruise - Hanoi (B)
06.30 : For the early risers join us for a Tai Chi session on the sun deck. Tai chi helps focus the mind and condition the body and there is no better environment to practice this than amongst the limestone peaks and islands.
07.00 : You will have an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay if the weather is nice while tea, coffee as well as international breakfast buffet will be served.
08.30 : After breakfast, you will be transferred by a tender to visit one of the most beautiful and the largest limestone cave in Halong bay call Sung Sot Cave (Surprising Cave). You will be very amazed according to its name. Then we walk back to the boat for a final glimpse of Halong Bay.
10.00 : We get back to Aphrodite Cruiser, Check out cabins and settle bills – Luggage collection.
11.00 : It’s time for us to say goodbye to Halong bay as well as Aphrodite Cruise.
